Meet The Makers

You come across the makers through their work.

Each piece reflects a way of working that’s been developed over time, whether through long-established techniques or something more individual. There isn’t a single style that defines what’s here, but there is a shared sense of care in how things are made.

The collection changes with the seasons, so what you see on one visit may not be there the next. You’ll find it within The Gallery Shop, set amongst everything else rather than set apart.

Featured Makers

Loco Glass

Glassblowers

Louise and Colin Hawkins work with molten glass using traditional blowing techniques, developed over years of practice. Based at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester, their pieces carry a sense of movement and variation, shaped in the moment rather than planned in advance. Each one holds light differently, depending on how it’s been formed.

Toff Milway

Potter

Toff has been working in saltglaze pottery in the Cotswolds for over fifty years. His approach remains consistent, allowing the kiln, materials, and process to determine the outcome. The pieces are straightforward in form, made to be used, and often take their character from repeated use over time.

Becky Paton

Mosaic Artist

Becky’s mosaics are built slowly, piece by piece, using colour and pattern to develop each image. Her work draws on both the natural world and historic figures, with compositions that feel layered rather than immediate. The detail reveals itself more fully the longer you look.

More Makers

The wider group of makers represented at Eleven Bibury works across a range of materials and disciplines. Each brings a different approach, but the underlying principles remain the same.
