Bringing a Historic Building Back to Life
We brought a Grade II-listed building back to life: a 6m rear excavation with concrete pumped by crane, stone-faced retaining walls and a sweeping cast-in-place stair creating three garden terraces - plus a full hospitality interior fit-out (services, accessibility, lime finishes, French-polished joinery) and hand-painted illustrations on the walls.
The Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen: why it matters here at Eleven Bibury
I write as the President of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen. We keep standards high - honest materials, clear design, skilled making - which is why Guild work belongs at Eleven Bibury, where craft is in daily use.
Why I Created Eleven Bibury
Eleven Bibury took four years to make because standards take time. It’s a working home for the Arts & Crafts values we believe in: a café with seasonal food, stunning terraced gardens, a Gallery Shop curated with products made by the most talented local Makers and artists, the village post office, and an online store - useful, beautiful, and fairly priced.
